מחנה is, in all probability, here, as at Gen. 32:9, united to a feminine for the sake of the symmetry with תקום. בזאת, “in this,” is, “even in such circumstances, to all human appearance desperate;” compare Lev. 26:27; Job 1:22. The exposition, “I trust in this, namely, that Thou, O Lord, art my light and my salvation,” is unnecessary, because, though undoubtedly בטח is generally construed with the ב of the object, we do repeatedly meet with it in an absolute form, in Judges 18:7; Jer. 12:5; Prov.
